Shelter Security

Today was rainy and VERY windy, with tornado warnings showing up on all radio stations, I needed to do something about my shelter/tent/garage thingy. It's blown away once (thank you, tropical storms . . . ) and I wanted to avoid that happening again. Borrowing some rope and using some of the leftover round rods from other projects, I rigged a decent guy wire system:

For a completely improvised and non-ideal system, it worked well enough to keep the tent on the ground and in the back yard.

One other precautionary mod was to zip tie the bottom of the sides to the base plates:

The rod through the base plate kept the plate planted, preventing the whole thing from flipping in the pretty massive updrafts that were happening today.
